Christina Vantzou: “Going Backwards to Recover That Which Was Left Behind”

I first discovered Christina Vantzou through her track on the ambient music benefit compilation, For Nihon. “Going Backwards to Recover That Which Was Left Behind,” from her new album No.2, is music in the same vein—a gently dynamic, emotive mix of electronica and classical instrumentation. Vantzou is also an experienced visual artist and filmmaker, and she conceived the beautiful cinematography in this music video for the song. It moves at the same slow pace as the music, insisting you soak up as much affect from her work as possible. Vantzou has more sound and visual work on her personal webpage.
