Crater: “Crater Head”

Brand new Seattle duo Crater  just put out their similarly titled debut track, “Crater Head.” The song brings together dark industrial synths and distorted drums with dream pop vocals in an infectious mixture. With sighing vocal melodies, the girls sing about pity sex and trolling the Internet. The matter-of-fact lyrics, like “Why don’t you talk to me so I can fall asleep,” encapsulate the lonely quality of the song. Throughout the song, the texture builds with effected vocals and distorted guitars, bringing out the grungy backbone of “Crater Head.” The track is so sonically unique for a new band that you can’t help but get excited for what they’ll release next.

For now though, you can download “Crater Head” for free on SoundCloud.
