Old School Arcade Games Dominate Archie Powell & The Exports’ Video “Holes”
Chicago rockers Archie Powell & The Exports are getting ready for the release of their follow-up to 2012′s Great Ideas In Action. And to give us a taste of what to expect on their new record Back In Black, the band has revealed the video to their track “Holes.” The song balances the raw power of grunge in Powell’s screaming vocals, the distorted bass, and pounding drums with a melodic wash of guitar in the chorus, showing off their great pop sensibility. Powell wants to “celebrate for all my singles and shut out,” calling for the need to “reorganize.” The music video finds the guys performing the song surrounded by old arcade machines and taking turns at the games. We see the range from dazed and confused to absolute rage associated with playing arcade games as the music powers throughout.
Back In Black will be available on April 28th, and you can pre-order it now from their website.
