“TRAVEL,” a Short Film That Shows a Reflected View From a Window Seat
Plenty of videographers have recorded the passenger-seat view from a moving train, car, or plane, so unless the video is particularly spectacular, it takes a little creativity for a video like that to stand out. Laurens Groven‘s approach was to get fancy with reflection editing. Beyond the simple (but often beautiful) horizontal mirror technique, he opens shapes in the video that feature different slices of motion, complicating the video’s color palette as much as its visual complexity. It’s a fun 90-second trip (good luck achieving that on your next train ride…).
