Agata Marszałek’s Portraits of Important Figures in Film
Polish illustrator Agata Marszałek has an entire portfolio of “famous people” portraits she does on commission for magazines and websites. In this set of illustrations, she draws portraits of famous figures in film, from Jodie Foster to the Coen Brothers. The illustrations were featured in The Dissolve, a film criticism website launched by Pitchfork. What’s great about Marszałek’s style is the simplicity. They almost look like courtroom sketches, but her approach captures the humanity of the people she draws, creating a portrayal that’s realistic and personal.
