Triangle & Seed: “Stay For Love”

Toronto/Dublin-based group Triangle & Seed have just released the self-directed music video for their new single, “Stay For Love.” The track blends indie-RnB with sparse folk songwriting for a unique atmosphere. With a dark, electronic beat and warm synth chords, “Stay For Love” recalls James Blake at his most vulnerable. Their fragile falsetto and thick harmonies in the chorus beg you to “stay for love” with a melancholic pessimism. At the end of the song, everything fades away except for an aftermath of lush synth strings that linger like an echo. The beat comes back in, but the song ends for good shortly after, denying us a sense of closure or resolution.

There’s not a lot known about Triangle & Seed, but keep an eye out for more from this mysterious band.
