“Temporality” Sums Up the Life of a Faceless Soldier on the Battlefield
Temporality is a short game–really more of a movie–that consists of one move: run. It opens with a soldier running on a battlefield towards gunfire as slow music plays overhead. It’s a scene out of any war movie, really. As bullets rain down on him and his compatriots, the world around him slowly shifts. He’s a child running after a girl he likes, a boy out on a scouting expedition, and finally a man at war.
No doubt Temporality has its critics–mostly based around whether or not this counts as a game–but regardless of where you stand on the issue, it’s clearly a work of art.
