Revealing Comic Shows What Life Is like on Chemo

When cartoonist Krystal DiFronzo was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin’s lymphoma, it felt only natural to document her experience through her medium of choice: art. Her revealing comics show the emotionally and psychically taxing experience of going through chemotherapy. In one comic she explains how playing Animal Crossing is the only thing that calms her anxiety, and in another she illustrates the odd contrast of being in the nuclear medicine waiting room awaiting her fate while hearing Seinfeld play in the background. Her comics are honest and candid, showing the stark reality of how life can sometimes change in an instant. For more, she has more similar comics in her Tumblr.
