Here’s a Series of One-Page Comics of Iconic Movie Scenes

Every movie has that one iconic scene that everyone remembers, like the “Celie!” scene from The Color Purple or the dancing scene from Pulp Fiction (these were literally the first two films that popped in my head). In her recent series Movies, Hong Kong-based comic artist Little Thunder creates one-page comics of her favorite scenes from iconic films like Moonrise Kingdom, The Warriors, Into the Wild, Chan-Wook Park’s Lady Vengeance, and even Alan Ball’s TV show Six Feet Under. Each comic manages to capture the essence of each film while only highlighting a small morsel. For example, the one-page comic for The Virgin Suicides pretty much sums up the whole film, as well as the comic for Moonrise Kingdom. Although it helps if you have already seen the film. We selected a few of our favorites above, but you can browse them all here. Warning: there be spoilers!
