After releasing her debut LP Ring three years ago, experimental pop artist Glasser is preparing us for her sophomore album with a new track, “Shape”. The intricate, layered electro-tinged pop song is a dense and hypnotic track lead by bubbling synths and Mesirow’s pure and powerful vocals. Like the songs on her debut, “Shape” is otherworldly, and not unlike Bjork’s recent Biophilia album. To match, the video, directed by Jonathan Turner, is an abstract visual of shifting metal and glass. It slowly curves and unfolds the way the layers of sound build and pull back and reveal more.
The yet-to-be named album is due out in October on True Panther Sounds.
