Sleep Snapshots: The Creepy Art of Taking Photos of People Sleeping
Late photographer Ted Spagna devoted his life to photographing people sleeping, not because he found it beautiful but because he was curious about how the human body worked while sleeping. He took photos of humans for years, and a collection of all these photos will appear in an upcoming coffee table book appropriately titled Sleep. In the meantime, his family has been carrying on his legacy by starting Sleep Snapshots, a service where you can purchase your own intimate photos of yourself sleeping (because why not?). They have a gallery on their website, and the photos are beautiful in a vaguely creepy and haunting kind of way. To get your own sleep snapshot, order one here. The book Sleep will be available on September 3 from Rizzoli New York.
