Artists Pay Homage to “The Simpsons” with These Edgy, Unofficial Comics

The Simpsons Drawing Club is a group of drawing buddies from the UK who like coming together to draw characters from their favorite animated TV show. With eleven writers in the group, the type of art that gets uploaded varies drastically. From pencil-drawn comics to whatever this is, the blog is like one big fan letter to the show.

One of the artists, Jack Teagle, is even banking off his Simpsons drawings. He recently won the Simpsons Threadless contest with his T-shirt design, and he also just released a zine of all his drawings from the Simpsons Drawing Club.

But The Simpsons Drawing Club is just one part of the growing online Simpsons fan art community (and no I’m not talking about Simpsons porn, and OH GOD DO NOT GOOGLE THAT). There’s also Bartkira, a blog where artists are challenged to redraw Akira with Simpson characters. I’m not really sure where this phenomenon is coming from, but here’s hoping for more blogs like it.
