This Is What Real Women Look Like

Say what you want about Dove’s Real Women campaign (and its critics), but it has ignited a small trend of sorts. From xoJane’s Real Girl Belly Project to the normal breast gallery (um, NSFW), women of all shapes and sizes are coming together to show their bodies in ways that don’t include airbrushing.

Portrait photographer Mark Laubenheimer specializes in gorgeous, natural photos of women of all shapes, sizes and colors. “It’s OK to just be,” he states on his website. “Actually, it’s rather wonderful.” All his photos are stripped down, natural and unretouched, and his bare bones aesthetic only enhances the beauty of the people he photographs. If you’re interested in seeing more of his work, he currently has four published books you can buy. You can also follow him on Tumblr.
