Ototo Helps You Make Electronic Music Out of Anything
From London-based inventors Dentaku comes the solution you didn’t even know you needed: a synthesizer that’s more adaptable than a keyboard but less daunting than an industry-standard DAW. By facilitating a connection between environmental inputs (read: anything) and some sensors, the device allows user sound triggering/control via a circuit board. This video gives a brief overview of the grounding philosophy of its creators and shows a few demos that illustrate the wide range of applications made possible by the design’s simplicity. There’s a lot of potential (*rimshot*) here; I’m envisioning a veritable army or site-specific Ototorchestras. Someone mass produce this already.
