Learn an Instrument by Example with Songsterr

You’ve always wanted to learn an instrument. Or, if you know one, learn all the popular songs all the kids are playing these days. If you haven’t heard of Songsterr and you play (or want to play) guitar, bass, or drums, you should check this out.

The problem with learning online is that the internet is polluted with heaping, smoking turds that somehow pass as tablature. While tab is a great way to learn, most of it is inaccurate, incomplete, and incomprehensible. Songsterr is the cure to this problem. It combines the simplicity of tablature with a professional learning platform that makes it easy to learn tunes. You get to see what rhythms are playing, the chords that you’ll need to know, and, more importantly, you can actually watch the tab scroll by as the song plays in MIDI. Sure, it won’t sound like the original recording, but you get to hear it, and it’s more accurate than anything you can find online for free. Oh, did I mention it’s free? Yeah, there are plenty of restrictions that are lifted when you become a paying subscriber, but even without paying, you can find tons of songs and listen to and view the tabs just fine.

In addition to the web app, Songsterr is also available for iPhone and Android.
