See How a Tomato Travels from the Farm to Your Kitchen in “Tomato’s Life”
In this ridealong film, we’re taken along to see the life of a tomato once its life (in a sense) is over: once it’s plucked from a vine. It’s interesting (and depending on your perspective, worrying) to see how many hands a tomato passes through before it makes its way to someone who plans to eat it. But the ending, as well as the fact that the film was created for the NGO Action Against Hunger, highlights the fact that our global economy is one in which life doesn’t always go as planned. Jabuba Films is responsible for this production; if you can read Spanish, check out the production company’s blog post on the short.
