Curl Up With a Good Book and a Cup of Coffee at Brooklyn’s Boulevard Books!
Located deep in the heart of Dyker Heights, Boulevard Books is a haven for bookworms of all ages. From the moment customers walk into the store, they are greeted by a cozy atmosphere and thousands of books lining the shelves just waiting to find their forever home. To the right, there is the children’s corner, which is decorated with a cute jungle motif that includes a fake canopy, a leopard-print rug, and shelves of books. To the left is the Young Adult section, which is a quiet corner for teens to check out all the latest new releases. Finally, the back of the store runs the gamut from fiction to self-help books. No matter what your preference is, Boulevard usually has it in stock and if not, they are always happy to order it for you.
Boulevard Books opened in May 2010 and is owned by Brooklyn native Tatiana Nicoli who went from lawyer to small business owner. She was determined to create a store where book lovers could flock to but also be a place that could serve as a focal point for the community too. Now in 2013, her dream has been achieved. The store, which is one of the few independent bookstores left in the Bay Ridge/Dyker Heights area, not only has some of the fastest ordering times around but they also offer fun events such as open mic poetry nights with Tom Kane’s Boulevard Bards on the second Wednesday of every month, meet and greets with authors that range from Suzanne Corso to ‘True Blood’s’ Joe Manganiello, and even a story time session for the little ones too.
