Premiere: Watch Madeline Mondrala’s New Music Video, “Busy”
One of the very first things we posted here at The Absolute was the music video for Madeline Mondrala‘s incredible song, “Bad Kid.” Taken from the same Cloud EP, we’re delighted to be able to premiere the music video for “Busy.” The track share’s “Bad Kid”s intricate arrangement and production but is focused more on introspective songwriting. Mondrala uses her breathy, expressive vocals to sing about wishing she were “busy” and feeling insecure in a relationship. And the beautiful new music video reflects these themes. Directed by Matt Speno, who also directed “Bad Kid” and produced the EP, the video is another dance-heavy surreal clip. But where “Bad Kid” had a large cast of dancers, set changes, and elaborate costumes, in “Busy” we see the New York-based singer alone and more reserved as she sings and dances in the woods.
Even though Cloud was released a year ago, it’s not too late to get on the Madeline Mondrala train. Catch up by watching the clips for “Bad Kid” and “Blood Brother” while we get ready for her upcoming full-length album later this year.
