Destined for Misery: An Illustrator’s Collection of “Poor Me” Comics from the Past Six Months

As much as we love artists who toil away in their apartments and create art to depict their loneliness, the trope of the tortured artist can be exhausting at times, which is why we love Katie So’s self-aware collection of “poor me” comics. Each comic is crafted to depict the overwhelming (and somewhat pathetic) emotions that come with feeling sorry for yourself. But So makes sure to include a hint of light-heartedness to suggest she’s not taking herself too seriously.

If you like these comics, make sure to check out her other comic, Bad Boyfriend, and her portfolio of intriguing illustrations.
