Here’s a Living Room Mural Drawn with Sharpies
Whoa, we wish our living room looked this cool. Designer/illustrator Mete Erdogan decided to forgo buckets of paint when it came time to spruce up his Brooklyn apartment. Using nothing but sharpies, Erdogan created a gorgeous hand-drawn mural to cover his entire living room wall. Full of cheeky pop culture references, words of wisdom, and random doodles, Erdogan says the mural represents the chaotic and structureless nature of the mind. “With the exception of the central portrait, everything is from a stream of consciousness,” he explains. “I love how the living room is an open hub of ideas, tasteless jokes, inappropriate stories, music, friends, food and drinks; the mural is my unfiltered response to those surroundings.” Let’s hope his landlord never finds out.
