I was wary about writing about this because it’s been posted just about everywhere, but I’d be lying if I said this song hasn’t been stuck in my head all week (cause it has). Chastity Belt, a Seattle four-piece, makes catchy party music that harkens back to their days when they started off playing gigs around their small college town. And if lead single “Time to Go Home” is anything to go by, it looks like partying isn’t out of their system yet. What makes the track, which appears on their sophomore album of the same title, so great is how they suck you in with a catchy tempo, only to spiral out of realm into a cathartic chanting of, “Time to go, time to go, time to go hooome.” They recently released a video for the track, but I think the song stands fine on its own.
