It’s weird the best description I’ve heard about Title Fight‘s music was by a Stereogum commenter, who described their single “Chlorine” as “grunge-y Beach Boys.” I mean…yeah, I guess it kind of is. But you can’t ignore the shoegaze undertones as well, which create a good balance to their sound that’s nostalgic but not reductive. The Jonny Look-directed video is even more impressive, showing a man having a nightmarish experience on a boat complete with a “twist” ending. If you liked this, remember to check out their latest release, Hyperview.

What’s he saying? Who cares! After releasing a split EP earlier this year with Touché Amoré, Pennsylvania punk band Title Fight are getting to release a new EP of their own, Spring Songs. The first song released from the upcoming set “Be A Toy” finds the group at their noisiest, filled up by way-too-loud, way-too-overdriven guitars, energetic drums, and droning vocals. The whole three minutes is an aural assault of the best kind.
Despite what you may be led to believe by its title Spring Songs will actually be released this November via Revelation Records
