Remember how exciting it was to receive a sticker-covered letter or a postcard with an exotic stamp from a distant friend?

 The International Geek Girl Pen Pal Club takes advantage of our social technology to encourage those snail-mail connections and offline friendships. IGGPPC’s staff of wonderfully real-life geeky people do the matchmaking, arranging new partnerships between pairs of penpal-seeking members.  The staff of IGGPPC are sci-fi nerds, indie artists, gamers, comics readers and geeks in many different subcultures—just like the members.

Then, matched members are on their own, able to connect with a distant friend who shares the same unusual hobbies by sending letters, cards, and exciting care packages. (Of course, new friends are free to take their chats to Twitter, Tumblr, or wherever geeky convos are found.)
